The Challenge
Sedulo’s Forensic Accounting team were using out-dated 3rd party software that performed poorly and restricted the team to 2 users. This created unnecessary bottlenecks and delays in the processing of financial documentation. Due to the restrictive per-seat licencing model of their previous software, the forensic accounting team were also responsible for the data capture across the rest of business, further adding to lost time. The software was reported as being inaccurate and prone to errors and the team desperately needed a solution which offered higher levels of automation, in order to help them work more efficiently and accurately to better meet the demands of their rapidly growing business.
The Solution
Oscar bank statement module provides a highly automated solution for capturing and digitising bank statement data. It removes the need for manual data input whilst simultaneously allowing users compete oversight of all automated tasks for checking and verification purposes. Offered as SaaS, Oscar also eliminates the need for installation, critical for a progressive business offering hybrid working.
The Outcome
Oscar has allowed Sedulo to expand its user base from 2 users to 25, with all 190+ staff having access, should it be required. This has enabled the Forensic Accounting team to fully focus effort and resource on forensic-specific output, and allows colleagues across other all other business areas to quickly and accurately convert their own financial data. Sedulo are fully feeling the benefits of switching from on-premise software to a SaaS solution, with users able to process documentation wherever they are working.
Sedulo was an early adopter of Oscar and the team have been an integral part of the ongoing feedback loop that helps us continue to develop and enhance Oscar’s capabilities to meet the increasing demands of the user base.
